NH Primary Source: Sununu ’not even looking at’ relaxing ballot petition requirements despite pandemic

Gov. Chris Sununu said in no uncertain terms Wednesday he has no intention of relaxing the state’s in-person petition requirement for third party and independent candidates to appear on the November general election ballot.
He said that to do so might be considered a conflict-of-interest because he would potentially be giving ballot access to someone who would run against his reelection bid. And he said that if the state is sued over that position, “that’s fine.”
