The chairman of the New Hampshire Log Cabin Republicans says the group’s board wants to broaden the state Republican Party’s attraction to LGBT conservatives by eliminating a party platform plank recognizing marriage as being only between one man and one woman.
“I think it would be a very important step for the Republican Party in New Hampshire to take that step,” Jim Morgan, who has chaired the group, which advocates for equal rights for LGBT Granite Staters, for more than a year. Morgan is a businessman, Derry Town Councilor and former finance chair of the NHGOP.
