What we have here, a jailer famously said in the movie “Cool Hand Luke”, is a failure to communicate.
If the English language continues to be misused and thus misunderstood in places high and low, we may all consider a jump from the Tower of Babel.
A New Hampshire Department of Safety news release earlier this week brought the startling and terrible news that a worker had been “electrocuted” on a state roadway. But the release added that the worker had then been transported to a Boston hospital and was in serious condition.
