Trump signs two bipartisan Hassan-Portman acts to improve cybersecurity

President Donald Trump has signed into law two bipartisan bills introduced by Sens. Maggie Hassan, D-N.H., and Rob Portman, R-Ohio, to help strengthen cyber defenses at the Department of Homeland Security.
The bipartisan Hack DHS Act establishes a bug bounty pilot program, modeled off similar programs at the Department of Defense and major tech companies. The program will use vetted “white-hat” or ethical hackers to help identify unique and undiscovered vulnerabilities in DHS networks and information technology.
