With New Hampshire officials allowing universal absentee voting later this years due to the COVID-19 pandemic, mail-in absentee application forms and voter registration forms should be made more widely available, officials of the state Democratic Party said Tuesday.
NHDP Chair Raymond Buckley and legal counsel William Christie spoke to the members of the Select Committee on 2020 Emergency Election Support during a virtual meeting on Zoom about accessibility. They were followed by New Hampshire Republican Party Chair Steve Stepanek, who agreed that voting should be made easier if the pandemic continues into the fall but warned that the panel should be wary of suggesting changes that can only be implemented by legislative action.
