In the last day of regular session voting, the Democratic House and Senate passed bills raising the minimum wage and establishing gun-free school zones throughout the state.
The vote was 14-10 in the Senate and 207-143 in the House. Both bills passed without a single Republican vote, and are facing likely vetoes from Republican Gov. Chris Sununu.
SB 10 raises New Hampshire’s minimum wage, now at $7.25, to $10 per hour in 2020 and $12 per hour in 2022.
