It was 10 years in the making, but on Wednesday morning the surviving family members of public works employees who lost their lives in public service finally witnessed the dedication of a memorial in their honor.
“This is just incredible; it’s the fruition of a lot of work by a ton of people,” said Jim Rivers of Contoocook as he surveyed the large crowd of family members and dignitaries gathered by the new memorial on the grounds of DOT headquarters.
