A state law that gives abortion clinics the right to impose a buffer zone to keep pro-life protesters at bay survived a repeal attempt on Thursday, as the House voted 228-141 to rejected HB 124.

The state Legislature passed the buffer zone law in 2015, prohibiting people from protesting within 25 feet of abortion clinics, but health centers never implemented the buffer zones as court challenges were pending.
