Governor, dozens more take cold dip in ‘Freezin’ for a Reason’

Chucky Rosa, Gov. Chris Sununu and about 50 others jumped into the frigid Atlantic Ocean on Saturday to raise money to help people with substance use disorders.
For 15 years, Rosa has jumped into the ocean at least once a day, and he says, sometimes twice. That’s every single day, spring, summer, fall and winter. He began the “Freezin’ for a Reason” venture to honor two of his sons, Domenic and Vincent, who lost their lives to drug addictions. Now, Rosa raises money that he uses to pay out “scholarships” to people who sincerely want to enter treatment for their addictions but do not have the necessary money, and Chucky’s Fight, a nonprofit organization was born.
