Gov. Sununu: NH COVID-19 testing held back by federal government

State officials and business leaders began planning this week for reopening the economy, even though New Hampshire is still several weeks away from testing enough of the population to discern how many people have been infected with the coronavirus.
Gov. Chris Sununu’s Economic Reopening Task Force began meeting Wednesday. Over the next week-plus, the 19-member task force will meet with leaders of specific industries and hear proposals for how to reopen businesses while still adhering to social distancing guidelines. The task force heard from Mike Somers, president and CEO of the New Hampshire Restaurant and Lodging Association, Thursday and the retail and manufacturing sectors Friday.
