A budget showdown is looming between the Democratic-controlled state Legislature and the governor.
Those in favor of the budget are highlighting aspects of the $13 billion spending proposal they say make it important to pass, but Gov. Chris Sununu is not convinced. The budget calls for a freeze on business tax breaks, keeping the tax rate at 7.9 percent, a major sticking point for the governor.
