Sen. Jeanne Shaheen, D-N.H., is “hopeful” about the votes the U.S. Senate is set to take Thursday on competing bills to end the partial government shutdown, which has surpassed one month.
“The votes tomorrow are a good sign, because hopefully that means there will be talking and negotiating that will be going on,” Shaheen said Wednesday after a visit to the Wing-Itz restaurant on Central Avenue in Dover.
