New Hampshire Democrats ignore Financial Literacy 101

There is one skill I clearly remember learning in my high school Financial Literacy class: how to balance a checkbook.
At the time this skill seemed unimportant to me, however after paying for college, buying a home, starting my own business and starting a family, I realize the great asset these simple skills have provided me.
And it greatly disappointed me when I saw that the New Hampshire legislature seemed to ignore Financial Literacy 101 when creating their reckless state budget proposal, creating a nearly $100 million structural deficit. This move would set up a state budget that would drain funds and leave our healthy Rainy-Day Fund dry in just a few years. Not only that but this deficit would lead to economic downturn and inevitable cuts in services. Thank goodness, Governor Sununu stopped that budget by vetoing it.
