Seacoast shops cautiously reopen. Some say, ‘Not yet.’

Downtown retailers were largely split on reopening their stores to the public Monday, the day New Hampshire retail was given the green light by Gov. Chris Sununu and his economic reopening task force to resume operations.
In downtown Portsmouth, there still remained more “closed” signs hanging in storefronts than “open” indications. Foot traffic was certainly more than Mondays past during the coronavirus crisis, and COAST buses were also back in operation, returning public transportation to Market Square and around the Seacoast.
