Experts: Wearing a mask will shorten COVID-19 pandemic in NH

Experts say wearing masks in public is one of the best things people can do to prevent transmission of coronavirus.
A coalition of local physicians and scientists are lobbying to have the state and nation make mask wearing mandatory. Many say not wearing a mask is irresponsible and will prolong the pandemic.
Jackie Dockham, who heads the Infectious Disease Control program at Exeter Hospital, said everyone at the hospital wears a mask – staff, people coming in and patients. She recommends everyone wear one whenever they are outside.
