Dozens of people gathered Monday in Hampton to call for an end to racism and express their anger over the death of a man as he was being arrested in Minneapolis.
The protest, organized by a woman over Facebook, involved more than 100 people. It was prompted by the death of George Floyd, who died after a police officer pressed his knee on Floyd’s neck for several minutes. An independent autopsy determined that Floyd died of asphyxiation from sustained pressure.
