The Salem Board of Selectmen held a virtual meeting on Monday, the main purpose was to vote on the proposed mask ordinance, but they adjourned the meeting without voting.

The proposed ordinance would require anyone in Salem over the age of 2 to wear some type of face covering while indoors in a public space. The proposal did not include outdoor spaces or restaurants, since restaurants are under more specific guidance from the governor’s office.
