Epping moves forward after Trump shirt incident

The mother of the Epping High School freshman who was asked to remove her Donald Trump campaign T-shirt during a school spirit day asked the community for “civility, tolerance and respect,” while also expressing support for the school’s principal who made the decision.

On Thursday night during the School Board meeting, Rose MacKenzie, the mother of 15-year-old Ciretta MacKenzie, who was forced to either cover or take off her “Make America Great Again” T-shirt on a school spirit day celebrating America April 8, asked the community to think about the general breakdown of civil and respectful discourse, which has eroded in the present political environment.
