Former House Speaker O’Brien seeking US Senate seat

A former Republican New Hampshire House Speaker is seeking the U.S. Senate seat held by Democratic incumbent Jeanne Shaheen.
Bill O’Brien is planning to announce his candidacy Tuesday afternoon at the American Legion hall in Manchester.
O’Brien would be the second Republican seeking the position. Retired Brig. General Don Bolduc announced his campaign last month. He served in the Army for 36 years.
