Bruce Breton of Windham, an active supporter of President Trump in 2016, decided against running for vice chairman of the party in January because of the party neutrality requirement.

He then vowed to seek the change so that future party leaders could support Trump in 2020.

Several Trump supporters in New Hampshire have encouraged Breton to pursue the change, which will require a two-thirds vote at the GOP’s annual meeting Jan. 26 at Pinkerton Academy in Derry.
