In Bedford, one vote means little

We suppose the voters (and non-voters) should shoulder some blame when certain candidates seek and win office and then either quit the post or simply don’t show up for work.
Occasional legitimate reasons (serious illness, job transfers, etc.) aside, seeking an office only to ignore it is a disservice to one’s community.
Last week, the Raymond School Board (finally) decided to go to court to remove from the board one Maurice “Moe” Titcomb, who hasn’t shown up for seven consecutive board meetings and has missed 10 of 15 this year.
