One recurring argument against making New Hampshire a “right-to-work” state is that organized labor has a relatively small footprint, at least in the private sector. The new Democrat-controlled Legislature appears to want to step in as union representative for all.
Democrats have a raft of proposals in Concord this session that would insert all manner of rules and regulations between private business and its workers.
Never mind the coming battles over minimum wage and family leave, the Democrats want to do much more to tell companies how to run their businesses.
