Voter residency law in first primary state gets hearing

A federal judge is scheduled to hear arguments in a lawsuit filed on behalf of two Dartmouth College students challenging a New Hampshire law that makes residency a condition of voting in the state.

Before the law took effect this month, New Hampshire, the first-in-the-nation presidential primary state, was the only state that didn’t require residency.
