Gov. Chris Sununu on Monday vetoed two Democratic-passed election law bills that would have repealed prior Republican-backed laws to tighten the state’s voting registration requirements and require that people who vote in New Hampshire take steps to become residents of the state.
Sununu vetoed House bills 105 and 106, which were the responses of the 2019 Democratic legislative majority to the passage of Senate Bill 3 in 2017 and House Bill 1264 in 2018, when Republicans were in the majority.
