Sununu: State budget stalemate ‘less about politics and more about the math’

In the month-long FY2020 budget stalemate between the Republican governor and the Democratic-controlled state legislature, Gov. Chris Sununu told a group of New Hampshire business leaders on Thursday the conflict is “less about politics and more about the math.’’
Sununu told nearly two dozen business leaders attending the New Hampshire Business Industry Association roundtable that the gap between the Democrats’ $13.3 billion state budget and his proposed $13.1 billion budget is small.
