New Hampshire is suing eight companies, including DuPont and 3M, over water contamination, officials announced Wednesday.
Gov. Chris Sununu, Attorney General Gordon MacDonald and Department of Environmental Services Commissioner Bob Scott said the state has filed two lawsuits accusing the companies of contaminating the drinking and groundwater systems in the state through the introduction of perfluoroalkyl and polyfluoroalkyl substances, or PFAS.
