NH House passes bills to fix education funding

Advocates of education funding reform marked three key victories in the state legislature last week, as three bills passed the House.
House Bill 177 passed overwhelmingly, 268-90, without debate. The bill will freeze cuts to state aid for schools, putting the funding level back to 2016. Sullivan County representatives largely supported this bill. Voting in favor were: Lee Oxenham, Brian Sullivan, Andrew O’Hearne, Gary Merchant, Walter Stapleton, John Callum, Skip Rollins, Thomas Laware, Linda Tanner, John Cloutier, Steven Smith. Two votes against came from Gates Lucas and Judy Aron.
