New laws change tax rates, marriage age, access to birth control

Another round of cuts to business taxes, a higher marriage age, new rules governing alimony and easier access to birth control pills are just a few of the laws passed in 2018 that will take effect on Jan. 1.
“Our commitment to creating a business-friendly climate in the Granite State continues into the New Year, with a 2.5 percent reduction in the business profits tax and 11 percent reduction in the business enterprise tax,” said Gov. Chris Sununu.
