Gov. Chris Sununu urged state legislators Monday to strike while the iron is hot with infrastructure spending ahead of this week’s budget crossover.
Speaking at the Arrowhead Recreation Center lodge, the Newfields Republican laid out his budget plan for one-time spending on municipal projects across the state, many of which he said have been tabled since the onset of the recession in 2007.
“We have a lot of surplus funds in the state,” Sununu said in his remarks in Claremont Monday, outlining his hope of spending $168 million in surplus funds for the revitalization efforts.
