New Hampshire’s education commissioner is criticizing the Concord School District over concerns that it misled the public about a principal’s leave of absence during an investigation into the principal’s handling of sexual misconduct allegations against a teacher.
Frank Edelblut said he was disappointed to read a Concord Monitor story that said Concord High School Principal Tom Sica continued to work while on leave. Sica took a voluntary leave of absence in June while the district investigated his handling of allegations involving a teacher who has since been charged with sexual assault.
