The New Hampshire Senate is set to vote on a bill to repeal the state’s death penalty.
The House passed a repeal last month. The Senate is scheduled to vote Thursday.
A similar bill passed both chambers last year, but was vetoed by Republican Gov. Chris Sununu. Momentum has grown to override a veto this year, now that Democrats control both houses.
