The snow is receding, the skies are clearing, and the New Hampshire House budget process is hitting the home stretch.

In the next two weeks, the 22 members of the pivotal House Finance Committee will be making final moves to put their stamp on the House budget, make changes to the supplemental “budget trailer bill,” and approve or disapprove spending bills.

All of it is heading over to the Senate by April 11 – including the budget. But what makes the cut will become much clearer Wednesday, when the committee will take action on a host of spending bills touching on everything from education funding to paid family and medical leave. What happens there could help inform pieces of the final budget.
