State lawyers will have 30 days to decide whether they will appeal a judge’s ruling that names on the “Laurie List,” the secret roster of New Hampshire police officers with credibility problems, are subject to disclosure.
Earlier this year, the New Hampshire Union Leader, five other media organizations and the American Civil Liberties Union of New Hampshire brought the suit for the names to be disclosed.
Lawyers for both Attorney General Gordon J. MacDonald and the news media have submitted a joint motion asking Hillsborough County Superior Court Judge Charles Temple to make his April 23 decision a final order, which gives the AG 30 days to file a notice that it would be appealing Temple’s ruling to the New Hampshire Supreme Court.
