New Hampshire’s congressional delegation recently wrote a letter to President Trump calling for continued funding for the State Opioid Response grant program to be included in his budget proposal for fiscal year 2021.
The SOR grants have been viewed as critical in the Granite State’s response to an epidemic that has given it the highest overdose death rate per capita in the nation. SOR funding led to the establishment of the state’s Doorway program, which opened Jan. 1, 2019, at nine locations throughout the state, acting as points of entry for any person with an opioid use disorder.
