John T. MacDonald: Proposed taxes would hamstring economic progress

Several new bills have been introduced for the upcoming year at the State House which all residents should find interesting, as they are new taxes that hamstring the economic progress made by our state in recent years.
I’m not sure why my Democrat colleagues are proposing these new taxes. Things are going extremely well for us. We have a booming economy, low unemployment, increased funding to education and a balanced state budget that was done with no increased taxes. The new taxes that my colleagues on the other side of the aisle are proposing will have harmful financial consequences on all New Hampshire families and local businesses.
