Reports: Pence canceled visit to NH rehab linked to drug dealer investigation

A federal drug investigation of a person who worked at Granite Recovery Centers was at least part of the reason Vice President Mike Pence abruptly canceled his visit to New Hampshire earlier this month, according to news reports.
Pence was slated to visit the state July 2 and participate in a roundtable discussion at Granite Recovery Centers about New Hampshire’s opioid problem. ABC News reported that sources familiar with the matter said an investigation of the center’s chief development officer, Jeffrey Hatch, was at least part of what prompted the trip’s cancellation.
