Officials prepare for landmark study of people exposed to PFAS at Pease

Anita Bergeron worked at Pease Tradeport until she retired in 2017. Now she could be part of a landmark study into how exposure to PFAS chemicals impact the human body.
“I guess I just didn’t understand at that time. Now I’m a bit concerned,” said Bergeron, who attended a meeting Thursday night that featured representatives from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry.
