Ten full-time employees, including four faculty members, at NHTI-Concord’s Community College will be laid off next month as the school grapples with a million-dollar shortfall caused by decreasing enrollment.
The layoffs, which take effect Dec. 27, were among the responses to a $1.2 million budget deficit resulting from an 8% reduction in enrollment from last fall to this fall, President Gretchen Mullin-Sawicki said Monday afternoon. Other cuts include the elimination of some temporary positions and reductions in hours for other workers, according to the college.
