Exeter Hospital is touting the results of a survey it commissioned, saying 79 percent of respondents think the state attorney general should negotiate with Exeter Health Resources, Wentworth-Douglass Hospital and Massachusetts General Hospital to allow their proposed affiliation to proceed.
The survey, conducted in November by the University of New Hampshire Survey Center, interviewed 500 Seacoast residents about their feelings about the proposed merger. The UNH Survey Center was contracted by Exeter Hospital to conduct the survey, according to Mark Whitney, vice president for strategy at Exeter Health Resources, the hospital’s parent company.
