Local brewers expecting boost from tax cut extension

An extension of a federal tax cut for the craft-beer industry is giving brewers a boost for the new year.
The Craft Beverage Modernization and Tax Reform Act, previously passed by President Donald Trump, lowers the excise tax from $7 to $3.50 per barrel for brewers who make fewer than 2 million barrels of beer per year. That’s a financial boost for all of New Hampshire’s 81 craft breweries.
