Manchester School Charter Commission meets, as lawsuit looms

Members of the new Manchester School District Charter Commission are beginning their deliberations on the merits of city schools setting their own budget number, while waiting for additional information regarding a lawsuit challenging the process.

Thirty-seven candidates filed papers last summer seeking one of the nine seats on the Charter Commission, approved by state legislators under HB 544, “An Act Relative to the Governance of the Manchester School District,” filed by state Rep. Pat Long.
