Reject casinos; focus is needed on sports betting

Since 1975 the New Hampshire House has rejected Las Vegas-style casinos more than 50 times.
But some of those defeats have been dangerously narrow.
In 2014, a bill that would have created two casinos with more than 5,000 slot machines came within a single vote of passing in the House.
At that time, legislators who believed that the risks of casino gambling far outweighed the rewards, vowed never again to take the defeat of a casino bill for granted.
